Fatigue is one of the most common health complaints I hear from my patients. If you are not waking up feeling refreshed, need several coffees per day to keep going, or feel like most days you could use an afternoon nap, its time to look at what’s draining your energy. After all, having great energy allows us to be more creative, focused, productive and present in our day. There are various reasons why you may experience fatigue and low energy levels. Low energy can result from a combination of factors. Some of these factors may include:
- Sleep issues
- Adrenal fatigue
- Hormonal imbalance such as thyroid, cortisol or low testosterone
- Inadequate nutrition or absorption of nutrients
- Environmental exposure of chemicals at home or work
- Chronic and acute stress
- Chronic infection and low immunity
- Autoimmune disease
- Issues with insulin sensitivity and hypoglycemia
Once we identify and address the above factors, you will begin to experience more abundant energy. Once your energy returns you will feel more refreshed, confident and motivated to create and sustain healthy habits.
“The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.”- Tony Robbins
